Went last year and had a blast.  Jorge and Dovi dined at tables next to us. Make sure you're there for free practice and especially qualifying. The sight and sound down on the front straight will blow your mind.

My wife and I will be pulling into the IMS around noon on Friday (coming from Erie, PA) and leaving after the races on Sunday.  We're staying at the Marriott downtown (TAft, check your PMs).

If you guys don't know yet, I just found out the flat track races were cancelled yesterday thanks to an email from Ticketmaster (due to the stage collapse last week).  Tickets are being refunded.  I was looking forward to that, but I'm sure there will be a ton of stuff to do instead.

I'll try to find you guys at the camp sites Chris!

From what I read on the website Ducati owners get access to the Ducati Hospitality Section for themselves plus one. I think you need to bring either your Ducati Owners ID or proof of insurance or registration. Not sure what that really gets you besides a free latte and a wristband but it might be worth checking out. Did anyone else check it out last year? Here's the link:

They do this in Laguna and Indy every year. As an owner, you get access to park on Ducati Island, gear check, and the hospitality tent. In the tent you have coffee, water and some snacks. If you're part of a DOC, then they might have additional events. Also look at the redsnake ride from the dealer to the track, led by our own Grifo.

Just show them your insurance or registration and you license.

I'll be helping w/ parking @ Duc Island Fri and Sat, then taking my kids to the races Sunday.

I'm local, so if I can be of assistance w/ questions about the track, town, etc... just ask.

Had a great time. Going next year for sure. If you havent eaten at the Rathskellar downtown its a must. Great German food, great beer selection and decent prices. They've been open since 1884! Highly recomended!! We stayed at the Westin where the Ducati team was staying and they rented about 15 Mercedes SUVs to get themselves around town!! Here's a pic of my baby in front of they're Mercede's lineup.

Had a great time. Going next year for sure.

I hope it comes back next year. Motorcycles on Meridian was out of hand Saturday night. I think if they can't make the GP happen next year it will be AMA Superbike.

Anyone going to Moto-GP in Indy next weekend? I'm taking my Monster 620 down from Chicago for the race! Cant wait!  ;D

Just saw this, but I rode down from Chicago... great time as usual... Was a bit disappointed with the lack of riders on I65 on the way back, we usually take over the highway, but not this year... How about those Harley's... :>
