Kudos to Chris at California Cycleworks
«
on:
August 29, 2011, 08:51:23 AM »
I just wanted to share with everyone my most recent experience with Chris at California Cycleworks (
www.ca-cycleworks.com
). I've been doing sporatic business with him for about 10 years, but this time I believe he's stood above and beyond what most businesses would do.
Over a year ago, Chris and I exchanged some PMs and he made me an offer/deal on some products. I was not in the market for them at the time, but recently came upon the need. I figured I'd remind him of the offer, and was wondering if he'd still be interested in honoring it. I really was not expecting him to honor the offer, especailly since it was about 14 months ago. Chris said he would, and did, and the service and products were just as good as they ever are from California Cycleworks. I just wanted to let everyone know that Chris is definitely a man of his word. His type is hard to come by these days. Thanks, Chris!!!

Bought a triple clamp from him last week - good looking piece of work and Chris was totally helpful, sending pics, answering questions, etc.

+1 Spoke w/ Jessica on the phone last week. I needed a breather ASAP after mine broke, and was going to leave me w/o a bike during the GP weekend. She promised to have it out that that day, the next day I had it in Indy.

complaint about ca-cycleworks....
last time i ordered something, they gave me a twix.
the time before that, they also gave me a twix. can you believe that? the same candy! i was appalled! im mean c'mon. yea the package got to NJ in only 2 days each time. but it was a twix both times! I was gonna let it slide b/c it was only 1 order but shipped in 2 packages days apart due to a backorder. and instead of waiting a day or two to ship in 1 box, they rushed it out so i would get the available parts ASAP. so i guess i was only entitled to 1 twix to begin with, but i DEMAND some compensation for duplicate candy bars.
actually, i'm gonna let it slide this time. i'll give them another chance. only b/c they are totally........AWESOME!!!!

chris is a really nice and knowledgeable guy. number of times i wonder how he put up with me over the phone about stupid questions. he's always offered a hand and that's why i don't have a problem giving him a few G's here soon.

@live2ride: we got a similar complaint via email from one of our overseas customers recently:
Quote
Hi, I ordered a set of the Exact fit ignition coils to put on my 1990 750M Monster last week (14th sept).
I dont really know what game you are playing here, but this is totally unacceptable. How am i supposed to continue to modify my Monster or for that fact my Jeep when you provide a totally unheard of level of service like you do. I ordered the coils on the 14th sept, they turned up today, 20th sept........ i am on the othersde of the planet..... how did you do that? I can not even get parts locally from my own country for vehicles built in this country that quick, that is unbeliveable. And what made the situation worse was i decided to install the coils today, i started at about 11 am, i was done in time for lunch. I spent an extra 10 minutes checking everything, as you would be aware of murphys law, "it cant be that easy, i must have missed something or something in not right"i said in my head. Anyway, i hit the started and "boom" it lives. I doubted the reviews, but i was proven wrong, i DID instantly hear the difference. I take my hat off to you all, and you can add another customer to your list. i will be sure to spread the word over here in Australia of you high level of service and the high quality of your products. Oh and the TWIX bar, my daughter would like to thank you very much for the treat.
Thank you
Note the coincidence of the Twix bar?? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe I should eat those instead of the reeses cups???
Anyhow, thanks for the feedback and we'll get right on that.

Ca cycleworks is great, I ordered some parts for my monster and not only was the lady on the phone very nice, she checked to make sure all the parts where in stock, and I got an email of my order and the tracking number when my parts shipped, and a candy bar, I don't remember what kind though
I will order from them again
