Could the fuel tank be upgraded since it has a smaller one?
Yes, but it is only a liter smaller than the standard.

Or you could go nuts on it like I did. I turned a stock 2002 M620ie Dark into this:
Where'd the rest of your swingarm go? That looks BA.

Good luck
And yes you can go nuts.
Damn that is black.
Well done.

Thanks! Norm made that swing arm for me. It was made a year before Ducati offered them on Monsters. The 620 became a 900S as well.

The M800 also is the best small case engine. The 696 has almost as much HP, but you can tune the 800 and get a lot more out of it.
Much better power curve than the M750 despite "only" 55 extra cc.
I like the 800 engine a lot.

I am both speechless (re: the two bikes pictured) and amazed of the potential it has. Hmmm...the one I'm considering is an M800 if that means anything, cause I don't...M = Monster??

As mentioned..bargain bike but also mentioned it has dual Brembos up front. I have an '03 620 silver Dark. Still running with 80K. The 800 i.e. is a good bike. If you don't like the (lack of) paint..just mod it! I did.

These bikes look sick!!
One more question I do have is "how can I tell if a frame is bent" by looking at it if I'm not able to ride the bike (I don't know if that will reveal a bent frame anyway).

You really cant, unless the tweak is very severe. Frames flex too, (at high speed/G) so you can't even use that. The only way to tell is to put it on a jig or make some measurements off a new bike and check them, but the latter is very hit or miss too.

thank you for answering all of my questions, I was browsing the other posts and I was reading that a salvged/rebuilt title bikes insurance are shitty and takes lots of value away from the bike (and that is understandable as to why). But I am a little weary because:
1. Has no clutch lever
2. No Headlight
3. its an '03 with VERY low milage (not that I'm complaining about that part, but you know what I mean)
4. Broken Tail light
5. Brake lever tip paint is missing (indication to me at least that bike was down and slid)
6. Scratched up (possible dent on tank)
I think in the end I'll be spending as much as if I would've gotten a '05 800 and possible S2R.
If I post pix would you guys tell me if its worth the buy before I take the 1 hr drive to go see it in person? Please?

The bike in question...
The guy wants $3G's
it also looks like it's got little bits of new parts (replaced parts) like foot pegs, braket for passanger foot pegs (unless black is the original stock color)
something about this next pic seems off to me..
go or no go

Hmm, looks like you'd be buying some troubles.
It's been down on both sides. The left took more thank the right. I can see scrapes on the engine case on the left.
The front wheel fender/hugger should be silver as well.
IT's not in running shape right now... might only need that clutch lever, but hard to say.
Good news is that the frame is probably fine based on that damage.
But.. unless you feel like a project. Walk away... or low ball bike time and see if they take it.

Oh see! I didn't notice the scrapes on the left side of the engine case. Left bar end is missing too, probably due to it being down on that side...
but you really think that the frame wasn't affected tho right?
