I suppose if I did the kind of miles every day that you do I'd like a new one too.

Yea they can save 13 cents a head gasket if they use the cheaper one and pass that savings on to the shareholders.  Roll Eyes

Normally, I like Ford trucks better, but that one has a lot of the same lines that I love on my Camaro.  If they make that truck, and it's anywhere near affordable, I might have to trade.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

So, I took the plunge last week and picked up a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel.  I've put about 200 miles on it and the 30 mpg on the highway is better than my wife's Ford Escape.

Price-wise, it turned out to be not much of an issue; I picked it up at almost $10k under MSRP.  I suspect some of this is due to the low demand caused by high diesel prices vs dropping gas or the issues Jeep had up until Dec. 2013 and the residual bad taste.

What can I say? I love Italian machines... so I also picked up an extended warranty plan...
