I like the Black Red Combo. I've never seen that before and I think unique is good and its not too Gimmicky IMO. Aside from that where did Martini T get the logo for his glossy black taken apart Duc in the pic on this thread. I've never seen that before. Is that an official logo or a custom paint job? Its pretty frickin sweet!  applause

so painting the swingarm. Do you remove it and have it powder-coated?  Huh? I'd love to do mine in black.

Yank it and have it PC'd.  It's not toooo complicated...as long as the board keeps answering stupid questions that is.

Me too!! No impact on suspension or any adjustments required I assume when you remove and remount the swing arm?

Lars,

My $0.02. Because you have a red bike and red frame. I would go Red swingarm... or maybe RED! Smiley
It makes the bike look "simpler". The frame flows into the swingarm and makes the swingarm disappear. Isn't that what we are after? Simplicity.

Case and point. Red frame... red swingarm. (I know wrong side. But you get the idea)

I did my s2r black because the bike + frame was black. If the bike+frame had been say silver for example. The swingarm would have been left stock or PC silver. Simple.

Very nice!  waytogo I like the simplicity a lot.

Duck Off...you're correct, there is no impact on the suspension. Just support the bike from underneath, unbolt the rear shock, then take off the swaingarm. It's pretty easy actually. Just be sure to make note of the spacers and where they go (I've never done an S2R swingarm, but I have done a DSS Monster one and a SSS one from a Multistrada).

Back from the powder guy today.

First impression is a bit 'plastic', but that's how non metallic gloss powder is.
It'll look better when it's worn, dirty and mounted in it's natural environment.

I'm thinking about painting the weld seams black..
