No matter who was to come out victorious, Ducati, uhm... win and lose? Huh?

I think this would be interesting. That being the case, I suspect it won't happen.

Thoughts?

Rossi should do this just to taste the podium again and get his mojo back.  With so little time on the bike its hard to say, but I would almost guarantee a double podium and a very possible double win.  Despite a complete wasted year on the GP bike, I don't think he's lost anything more than his pride.  I doubt it will happen though.

while I think it would be fabulous to see....I think it could only be a much better spectacle if Bayliss tipped his hat in for a dip on the action and wildcarded in too....

but I think I'd have to wake up from that dream....

You really think Rossi wants to get beaten by both of them?  Grin

what i want to see is all the aliens go race a round of moto2.  i think that would be pretty awesome and would really let us see where they all stand irrelevant of the bike they are riding on.

Yep that sounds about right. I was going to guess the last race in 2007.

it was valencia 2006, last year of the 990s, and the race where rossi gave nicky the title.  bayliss was so far gone out front and so irrelevant to the championship he was barely on the telecast, sadly.

This is true.

(Still a race I periodically re-watch, though.)

Now actually that would be cool

Bayliss, Bostrom, Foggy, Checa and the rest of the former Ducati WSBK

Personally wouldn't want Rossi in there. Not until he wins on a Ducati.

Of course it'd have to be some kind of magic anachronistic race where we could have all of them at their peak.

There is still nobody I'd rather watch race than Bayliss.

I still think that each of them on a stock new SBK (2013) racing full out at Misano would be the greatest marketing genius move.

'course if it handles like the GP, look for lots of front end washes Wink
