Several members of the 851/888 board have been searching for a fuel hose that
is submersible in E blended fuels.

The problem has been that it is sold in 12" lengths for high prices.

I have found a source that will supply in bulk lengths for <$1/ft.

I'll have to buy 100 feet - and so far only have 20 feet "spoken for"

Is anyone interested in this hose - I have a Gates rubber part number, and it would probably be easier for
people to get it direct from a Gates distributor.

Just putting this out there since finding the hose was an issue - not trying to "sell" anything

I'll take the number Rob.

My buddy ducvet uses a fair amount of it.

If it helps, I would take 5 or even 10 of the remaining 80 feet... PM me if it works out.

It appears the information from my Gates distributor was INCORRECT (very incorrect)

Please disregard - sorry for the false hopes

Rob, can you elaborate? Was the incorrect information that Gates was the only one who had it? Or is the Gates line nor suitable for ethanol submersion?

Sure - my Gates distributor sent me a piece of Gate literature that said the part # (4219) he quoted exceeded the SAE30R10 spec.

Then, when I checked with a guy from the 851/888 group - he sent me a contradictory spec sheet.

I finally got in touch with Gates, and they said the literature I was looking  at was European, and only their #27093 (1 foot segment) and #27080 (10 ft. segment) is submersible hose that will work with alcohol added fuel......

So I wasted a lot of my time - and hopefully not to much of yours

I did get a price on #27080 at almost $18.00/ft Shocked

I haven't tried searching for this part # online........
