So, as some of you might remember, I had a hankering for a Sport Classic before I got the Daytona. Well, truth be told I still do, and I have even been looking at a few back on the mainland.  But I still wonder if I would be better modding the monster to more of a SC look or just saying sod it and sell the monster to get an SC. So in regards to the mod part: Will, do you think either of these exhausts can be made to work (half way easily; i.e. without breaking the bank) on my S2R?  I am not entirely sure which Monster this is, but I think it is an older 900...  |

Thanks Will.  But actually, that yellow bike is for sale, and for a pretty good price. Has all the tasty bits as the one that I was looking at here on the island a while back, but without the issues pertaining to the previous owner... |

Sorry, didn't see Will's name the first time I read the post. For whatever it's worth -- Will is on a trip to the mainland and won't be back until the end of the month. Maybe he'll check the DMF out but??

Yea, I thought he was going awol for a bit, but just wanted to post it up anyhow to see what info I might get...
Anyone know how different the exhaust ports are between the DS1000 and the 800 engines?

The ports aren't the only issue. You still have to work around the swing arm design and the supports for the main can. It can be done, of course, but I bet it is a custom job all the way.

Might just have to say make the beast with two backs it and buy the yellow bike. The owner just lowered the price a touch, but he is in Michigan. Know anyone there that knows Ducatis?

These are the mods that have been done to the yellow S1000, which I am now considering buying...  Full Termi 2 into 1 exhaust system
Clay carrier fork guards painted gloss black
HyperPro front fork springs
WASP horn relocation using the bolt under the front tank mount
DP gauge lowering brackets
DP modified airbox lid that has yet to be installed (I will include in sale)
Black CRG clutch and brake levers
Ducati forged aluminum handlebars for more relaxed riding position
Cox titanium colored oil cooler guard
Ducati Performance 14T front and 40T rear sprockets
DP aluminum chain guard and front sprocket cover
DP cars.net tail chop
I had the stock belt covers customed machined to look like the ones that were for sale on ebay for $99
Battery is wired to plug into battery tender which I will include |

Sounds good to me! That way you can focus your mod energies on the Daytona. lol No kidding. This SC is fully modded out. Need to find a way to get a cheap(ish) shipping quote so I can sell my S2R and pick this thing up. |
