I want one for my monster!! I just can't afford it yet.
A replacement plastic thank from Ducati is 1800 I rather spend the extra $$ when I have it.

True. In the context of an $1800 new nylon tank, $500 more for a hand-crafted aluminum one doesn't seem too bad at all.

Not insane. I almost bought a spare 1000SS swingarm off ebay last year.

Nothing wrong with that. I buy extra early aluminum ss swinarms when the price is right. Up to 2 now.
