Pretty neat story, for a young guy that bought (is still buying) a Harley-Davidson XR1200 to go racing and wins his first race on the biggest stage...Indy GP  Cool

Yes, it was a pretty cool to see the Harleys dice it up in Indy....were they hitting 200mph, no, but the racing was spectacular.  Five guys were drafting to the finish in the first race.

Last year I questioned the reasons for the series, but after being exposed to it, the XR1200 class is being used like a feeder program to develop talent at a relatively low cost.  Very grass roots feel, that is refreshing in the Road Racing paddock.

Meanwhile, history was made in AMA Pro Flat Track as the first female won a GNC event!  We also saw the closest finish ever, .0004 sec, yes.... four TEN THOUSANDTHS of a sec. or .63 inches @ 90mph.
