The term yuppie faded when you were 2, so who are you really trying to coin? Hipster doofus, or over educated misanthrope maybe.  Grin

in a similar vein, i am disappointed by how neutered the word "fool" or "foolish" has become. seems to me the meaning of 'fool' or 'foolish' is far harsher than being called a jackass, dickweed, NY Yankees Fan, asshole, or [insert political party affiliation you don't like].

Stop the foolishness, any fooling around or foolhearty remarks about the Yankee's fans will only make you look like a fool.  Or just try writing something that includes "fool" will make you look like one or a jack ass.

I prefer jack ass, it's timeless.

My wife is convinced that the NY Yankees are demonic.

As a born and bred son of the South, I'm not sure she's wrong in her thinking.   cheeky

Save the brass...

When you grow up less than 20 miles from Yankee Stadium, it's hard not to be a Yankees fan.

When you sit on your Dad's lap in the right field bleachers and watch them win the World Series, it's hard not to be a Yankees fan.

When you walk down to the dugout and get autographs from Rick Cerone, Greg Nettles, Dave Winfield, and call Billy Martin a Bum, you're definitely a Yankees fan!

True story- I was five or six and my sister is a couple of years older.  Standing with my Dad at the exit to the Player's parking lot to watch the team up close as they came and went.  My Sister saw Goose Gossage getting into his car.  In a blink of an eye, she was under the Police barricade and tearing across the parking lot, waving a ball she got at batting practice, yelling, "Goose! Goose!"  My Dad jumps the barricade to chase her, I'm chasing my Dad, the cops are chasing all of us...  By the time my Dad and I caught up to my sister, she was standing in front of him holding the ball up in front of her.  When the cops got there, Goose glares at them, grumbles something not nice at them, then takes my sister's ball and signs it.  He patted her on the head, then got into his Mercedes.  The cops escorted us back out to the street.

My first (but not last) Police escort at 5 years old!  laughingdp
