What's the best way to increase the monster's HP?

Im the opposite.  Had the SF, enough HP/TQ to wake you up but it was horrible on city streets and tight twisties.   Sold it last year for a Hyper EVO SP, it was a fun sccot but city riding was/is also horrible.  Sold it for the M1100 EVO and imho, its the perfect all around moto.

Its easy/fun to ride fast on a slow bike than to ride slow on a fast bike...

For me the Monster 1100 Evo is a great balance of light weight, handling and power.  It does not have so much power that it is intimidating or beyond my control.  It's very tractable and great on the NM mountain roads where I like to ride.   I have had more powerful bikes, but it's just hard to beat the combination of attributes of the Monster.  Plus, its ergonomics are such that I can do a 400 mile day in the mountains and not need traction after I get off.

I get a kick out of people buying monsters and then complaining about HP. Hell even the 1098 lacks compared to R1's and such. Reality is however unless you are  seriously skilled rider or  you mainly ride the track, you probably will never even  come close to out riding the 696. Learn to be quick and you will have more fun than going fast.

well theres just plain old not enough HP and then theres practical amount, and then theres downright YOU WANT MORE?Huh?

I would never buy a 696 because it just has way to little hp. If the dyno charts are right, the 796...i could live with, and the 1100 doesnt have enough hp.

I WANT 100 RWHP. thats ideal.

....So interesting to hear someone actually dropped the SF for the Monster.
The Streetfighter 848 will be released soon....maybe that's the perfect bike?

i'm certain that the evo motor can be lightly modded to make 100 rwhp.
Kaemna or others will have kits soon enough.

So besides Kaemna, Jako and MBP, who would do this kind of work in the States?

This is true, we always want more HP. But to say that anything less than 100rw HP just won't cut it, is somewhat ob surd. I plan on performance upgrades and would like to get to 100 HP, but to say that 80 is just too little, I disagree. The reasons I bought my s2r 1k were because freeway riding would put the rpms lower. Reality is that my 750 was just as much fun.
