** I totally misread your post! **

I use a Pitbull rear and T-rex front.  I got the pitbull for like $70 so it was a bargain...seeing the quality of the T-rex front I would not hesitate to try out one of their rears.

I hear Pitbull is generally regarded as the best, for quality and features.

I also hear that T-Rex is comparable in quality, and can be had for cheaper.

Myself, I use an FG rearstand and a cyclecat front fork stand.  Love the FG; the CC front stand works well but one must be very careful using it.  The wheels don't roll as freely when bearing a load, and I've had one fork fall off the support while lowering the front on a less-than-perfectly-smooth floor.  An ass-puckering situation to be sure.  I would recommend looking for a front yoke stand rather than a front fork stand, though both have their advantages.

you've heard mixed stories.

Pitbull is the best for sure, but trex does not stand even in the same building let alone zipcode as pitbull.

it works fine for normal use. But if you work on a couple bikes or just use it very often, it rusts and requires red loctite if you are going to be banging it around.

I picked up the t-rex single swing arm rear and the triple tree in the front, we will see if it looks good when I get it I'll let you guys know... with what Heman said I might wrap some black electrical tape around the pins... or is that just a retarded idea...

that would keep them from falling out, but not lossening up. Red Locktite will do just fine.

I have about 4 bikes in my garage (friends park it over here) and the stands are always being used and banged around. I have 1 pitbull for my SSS and its never had a complaint. Trex leaves rust makes on the floor when it gets spray with water (when i wash bikes on rearstands)

I've been using pit bulls since 2003.  GREAT product. Well built and durable. And made in USA I hope.

So I just got the single sided swing arm ducati rear stand and triple tree front stand from t-rexracing.com. My initial impression of the stands is that they are killer. They really took their time to wrap everything and make sure it was packaged correctly no scratches or dings etc. Whats cool about the rear stand is a second kind of handle that helps you keep control of the bike when lowering it etc.. also the rod that goes all the way through the axel with a rubber cap and butterfly nut to keep the bike in position. From what Heman said(I think) I probably will try to avoid getting it soaked while washing in case it does rust. The triple tree front stand is a really cool set up. They have the stand padded with rubber so if you do accidentally touch the front fender or anything when taking it off or on you don't scratch anything. Fold up and as of now seems amazing.  But so far it seems worth every penny and I went and saw a pit bull in person... it is a little more sturdy feeling but I don't think I will have any problems.

Thanks again for all the info guys!
