With any luck, as goes Seattle, so goes the rest of the country.

as much as i hate to have to resort to passing on the right...
i do it mostly because i am impatient.

i'm not the type to tailgate the turd,
or flash high beams at them until the move over...
it usually doesn't work.

In California it's even legal to pass on the right. [roll]
What especially annoys me is people who feel that they have to be in the carpool lane because they qualify, even when traffic in the other lanes is going  significantly faster than them.

This drives me insane! Especially the hybrid car drivers who are there just because they have the fancy little stickers on their bumpers. F'ers.

In Europe, the drivers know how to drive, and stay right / pass left, is strictly followed.  No enforcement needed. [thumbsup]

Fixed!  Well, with the obvious exception of the UK and Ireland.  But, you use the left lane, except to pass, over there.  Getting about on the roadways is so much easier over there, and I dearly miss it.

well I made this statement with the idea of cars in mind...driving....not riding......                                                                                                  when people drive their cars they just go to the left lane its just the way the water flows in the city and evan tho you my know this is wrong you my find your self getting behind some one to move them out of the way they dont move and for the most part bam their you are driving in the left lane.......mad because they dont get over....your still their in the left lane.. add that times..20 million=traffic..................................................................                                                                                                                                         I wrote this last night just to get people fired up...but next time you get in your car check it out we all fall for this some time                                               and again ment this loosely not that you or he/she is the one............but you know who you are out their

Driving is pretty good in the UK and Ireland.  But I wouldn't praise all of Europe.  Italy is a notable exception. :-\

i've driven to and through many countries in europe and once you're on the highways, everyone pretty much follows the left is the fast lane rule. at least from what i've seen. highways don't seem like such a free for all.

have a nice day

driving a backwards standard car, on the wrong side of wicked narrow roads didn't come naturally for me  [laugh]

Yea, you are right on that regard.  I lived in Europe for almost eight years before work brought me to Hawaii, and Italy is definitely one exception to that rule.  But, just everywhere else is much more organized.  Hell, I even had one guy follow me into the A1 services, in Cambs, and apologize for not being able to move back into the left lane sooner.

But for the utmost in entertainment, you should try driving an up-armored HMMWV through Kosovo.   [bang]

first time i was in scotland i hired a car... i was worried that driving and shifting on the wrong side would be tricky, but i didn't have any real problems aside from one particular traffic circle... lol

loved the wicked narrow roads... and in italy you also get wicked narrow italian drivers!!

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here, this is the War Room.

There is nothing noble in being superior to some other man.  The true nobility is in being superior to your previous self. And in bacon.

That just makes it more fun! [evil] [cheeky]

On a related note, I have to say I'm more comfortable with roundabouts going clockwise (UK direction) than counter-clockwise (US direction).  Although I was thoroughly confused with the "magic" roundabout when I ran into it. ???

Yea, that one is a touch tricky.  The one that surrounds the Arc de Triomphe is another doozy!
