So I'm thinking about doing a few things to the bike.  I want to do some pretty significant mods... suspension upgrade, swap in a 2V 900 motor, and do a SSS conversion. Will probably do the suspension upgrade first, as finances will keep the motor swap/SSS conv a year or 2 away at best.

The pregnant dog currently has the stock Marzocchi forks and Boge shock. I want to upgrade to something that I can revalve/respring and have a great handling bike. I'm looking to do this as cheap as is reasonable, so Ohlins is out.  Ideally, I wanna keep the original wheels/brakes/axles/triples/etc if at all possible.

What is gonna be the path of least resistance (and $$) to get this done?

Selling the bike, buying a S2R1000, then buying a 900cc motor and swapping and then wondeing why you install the 900 motor and then installing the 1000cc back into it and then complaing that your bike is stock.

Tongue

in other words, dont do it lol/

I had my Boge/Sachs shock revalved and a remote res fitted. Kayaba parts were used.

Adjustable early MonsterS/SS forks (Showa) would fit your triples. They are cheap and adjustable and can be revalved. Stock non adjustable Monster forks of Showa brand are cheaper again and can be revalved. These are stock to my 95 900 and mine have been revalved/resprung.

That's a start, plenty of forum members have retro fitted SBK  suspension with some mods to have excellent upgrades. Should be a stack of threads to search.
