Here's my dillema, can't stand the udder on my S2R 1000 even though I had customized a Termignoni shortie for the bike I'm of want of a new exhaust system. Do I order the Arrow carbon full exhaust or wait for the BoomTubes to be offered again. Has any one have any experience with either system and the advantage one has over the other.

Full Arrow System FOR.THE.WIN.
Best sounding exhaust out there. Best fit & finish as well. Also won't kill your top end like the 'tubes will. Don't get me wrong, I like the BoomTubes but they aren't the exhaust that the full Arrow system is.

I also think you did the right choice! I love the looks of BT but it's a fact they kill performance!

How's that a fact? Unless you have evidence to support the claim.... its merely hypothesis.

Well, I have seen some dyno's in some forums, this is one of BT vs a arrow pipe/sc cans on a Hyper 1100.
Ok, I didn't wanto to start a fire, but I know some basic principles on exhaust systems, I'm no expert but I've always been told that the basics is short pipes=+torque/-HP and long pipes=viceversa.
Moreover from the feedback in the italian monster forum monster owners claim that short systems such as QD exbox and others do not boost performance, a part maybe a very light torque increase vs unchanged or sometimes worsened HP output especially at higher RPMs.
Obviously it all depends on different elements but over here who goes for short pipes just does it for the looks, and most admit power hasn't improved(even with ECU and air filter mod)
Also always relayng on a feedback basis it seems usually the best performance in Ducati twins is obtained with 2-1-2 systems rather than 2-2 or 2-1.
I also have not yet seen any dyno showing a power gain with BT or other very short systems.
Would be interesting to see something similar to also discuss about it over here, it would be an unexpected result.
This said, as I stated before I didn't want to start a fire of BT vs anything, my mistake in using wrong words, I apologize and specify I wanted to say it's merely my opinion that BT will not perform better than a full long exhaust.
Sorry for that!

I don't think Ungeheuer thought you were trying to start a fire, in fact I think he'd agree with you (as do I). What he was getting at is finding actual dyno numbers for BT is like trying to find Bigfoot. What you posted is the first numbers I've ever seen.

I do agree with your opinion. Just wanted to make the point that whilst you, me and others understand that exhaust systems of this kind are likely to result in a small reduction in HP.... until now I've seen no actual evidence to support this opinion.
Your dyno chart show a drop of 6 HP - IMO thats a significant loss

a difference between a highflow and stock system is typically also 6hp
so is there a loss with the boomtubes vs stock or is there no gain with the boomtubes over stock?
seems to me that it's the latter. just the chart shows the SC Projects will get you a gain of hp, but if you notice it outpulls (tq) below 6k.

Actually the lines at the bottom are not the torque but the air/fuel ratio.
This is the torque chart wich shows the longer system also outpulls the BT torquewise...
As you say 6hp is a tipical gain over stock on 1100 2v ducati twins, but in this case both systems were dynoed with ECU mod and air filter, so it could also mean that BT can keep stock performance
if
used in conjunction with ECU+filter mod, so probably BT on their own could actually lead to power loss...
