I'm contemplating either Rizoma naked prototypes/impulsive's or CRG arrows. Is there any standard mirror
(non-barend) that will give better visual than stock?

I put CRG bar end mirrors on my bike and LOVE THEM! I have them adjusted so I have very little blind spot on the highway and I can see cars stopped behind me. I still glance over my shoulder when changing lanes but feel better having a good understanding what's around and behind me.

I'm not totally against bar ends, but they do stick out a little and they design options are limited

I felt the same way until I rode with them. I got the CRGs that fold him. They pop back out without losing adjustment.

If you want to TRY bar ends without breaking the bank, I found some on Amazon for $20.  Cheap build, BUT they'll let you see if you like the positioning and such and you've not spent $100+ on something you pull back off if you don't like them.

I Have the Rimoza Reverse retro( black), a few times I find my hands are slightly obstructed with them turned inward, thinking I will trade for some CRG or the round Rimoza.

Round rizoma, as  in the spy R's. They are absolutely amazing. spend the extra money, get the better product.
