hi, i had started the thread comparing 696 and the ST3. have read all the mapping, fuel, heat problems in the 696 forums..........still cant get my head off the ducati. the ST3 gives about 32 to 40 mpg. wonder how much the 696 clocks in this respect??? also would like to know how the 696 handles uneven bumpy roads. a lot of ST3 owners go in for after market suspension.

Wouldn't that be nice. Some of the diesel race cars are getting *impressive* but 696 would be a-freakin-masing For the 696, I'd expect in the mid to upper 40s. dependent on the operator. My 620 w/ open airbox and PCIII would average around 50 mpg. My 900, similarly kitted get's about 1/3 less miles to the gallon - Wow, and engine 2/3 the size of ther other consumes 2/3 the gas... But based on that a rough guess of the 40s stands.

I'm getting around 45 MPG, the suspension is a tad stiff, but can be adjusted. I ride some really bad city roads here in Michigan, and nothing is bothering me too much.

I could never break much more than 40mpg on my 620. I'm hoping that the 696 is better. I would be curious to see what other people are getting. I should be getting mine in 2-3 weeks, I'll post what I get then.

I've have had my 696 for over 3 weeks and have put on a little over 300 miles on it. I seem to be getting only 30 mpg or less because of my heavy throttle hand. I just added termis yesterday and will see how the mpg's are with my next fill-up.

I'm at about 660 miles so far and I average around 46-48 miles per gallon. Running premium only. I started with regular and the bike didnt run nearly as smoothly. Premium is a must.

I've got 500 miles on my M696. I'm still doing the break in thing till 600 miles and so far I'm averaging 55 mpg combined. 52 mpg for city and about 60 mpg for highway at 75 mph. I'm shifting at 6k rpm.

My M696 has 1100 miles on it. I consistently get 40 mpg doing mostly city and the occasional freeway blast. I don't use it for commuting. It is strictly a bike for pleasure. But then again, isn't riding a Ducati always a pleasure? [moto]

I get 35 - 45 when riding aggressively. 50 to 70 when not. I actually got 75 one time. My average is 45 - 50.

I was above 50 for awhile, but then dropped my front sprocket to 14t...I seem to be getting less now. My last fill up put me at 47 mpg.

I've been getting about 48 mpg on average, a low I think of 40. I don't ride it hard though.

During the 600 mile break in period I got around 52 mpg. Now that I have almost 1000 miles on the bike and I can get on it a little more, I see the economy drop to around 47-49 mpg. Not bad at all for a fun bike like this.
