Bump.
110.4 miles/1.603 gallons to fill = 68.87 mpg.
All twisties and city.
Maybe it didn't fill up all the way... but it was exciting anyway. We'll see what I get on this tank.

I was getting between 45 and 50.
Termi slip ons, Race ECU, 14 T front. Mostly commute and freeway riding but it didn't change much when I went to the hills.
I have a bit of a heavy hand when leaving a stop - I wasn't bringing the tire up but I got it going pretty good.
I get a little worse on the 1100 - 41-44 now. Stock gearing. Stock exhaust. I do more in the hills and twisties now. I did get 53 when I just took a long ride into Santa Cruz and back. In commute traffic. On a Friday night.

also 45-50mpg. I've got Termi/ECU & a 14T going. No commute, just playin on the back roads. Worst I've gotten was 40mph after a hard ride.

Funny, I got high 60s when I first got her, it's been all downhill from then... Half cored exhaust, 14t and 14k miles - I get high 30s to mid 40s

The weird thing is it started getting a lot better after I changed the exhaust (nothing else changed).
15t, 5k miles, LV GP exhaust, stock ECU, stock tires (33 max front, 36 max rear)
I'm underweight, but I ride it like I stole it. The only road I rode with that tank has a lot of very steep first gear corkscrews.
Watch me run out of gas after 80 miles on this next tank.
edit: yep... this phenomenon was from the pump shutting off prematurely.

I keep track of my MPG on my iphone with GasCubby just for reference and pretty much I get consistently 30.4 mpg on my 696 with fillups of $8.50-9 every time and 93+ Oct gas in city/commute driving. But when I was breaking in the engine and driving more conservatively I used to get 40-50 mpg of course shifting always before 6000 rpms...... Now I really dont care I just drive it how it wants to be ridden and just keep track of it for reference. Im interested in seeing the impact on gas consumption when I add the Termis....
These are my Gas Stats from GasCubby for my M696
Ducati Monster 696
Date Period: 1/22/10-2/28/10
Average MPG: 30.71
Maximum MPG: 35.47
Minimum MPG: 25.76
Total Costs: $131.47
Total Miles: 1326.0
Total Gallons: 43.18
Total Fillups: 16
Total Days: 39
Cost Per Mile: $0.10
Cost Per Gallon: $3.04
Cost Per Day: $3.37
Cost Per Fillup: $8.22
Gallons Per Fillup: 2.70
Miles Per Fillup: 82.88
Miles Per Day: 34.00
Miles per $: 10.09
Of course all of this info is based on my riding style, weight (skinny), my daily commute to work (no trips during this shown period) and the conditions/Gas Prices/traffic of the city I live in which is Miami, FL.

I get between 45 and 50 with termis and 14t sprocket. I have 4000 miles on my 696. That's varied riding but almost no highway miles as I don't really ride on the highway much. I run premium fuel.

Hell, I got 55-60 on my S2R for a while... but that was at 1 mile + elevation. Location does matter... if only in the vertical sense

Removing the canister will not affect fuel economy. Altitude does make a difference, E10 will reduce mileage, as will (obviously) traffic patterns.

did you just plug them with M5 screws or something? did you cut them short? mine are maybe 1/8th inch longer than what i think the wall thickness is, i need to take em out and grind them down.
