did you just plug them with M5 screws or something? did you cut them short? mine are maybe 1/8th inch longer than what i think the wall thickness is, i need to take em out and grind them down.

won't affect things too much. but shorter is better.. just make sure to use a sealant

Removing the canister will not affect fuel economy.  Altitude does make a difference, E10 will reduce mileage, as will (obviously) traffic patterns.

The thing was I didn't plug the hose that returns to my throttle body's more AIR ecu compensates with more fuel.

DP ecu, pipes, etc but the mileage was about the same when stock-barely over 40mpg cruising, barely over 30mpg with spirited riding
