sbk seat at front - uses actual OEM sbk seat pad, so it mounts with front hinge & everything.   Rear of the tail is shaped like a Monster seat cowl.  Its pretty make the beast with two backsing cool, imo - i'm not using it because i'm trying to gather as many factory-RS race parts to cobble mine together.

for a naked 2v, this thing is tits.

Never heard of such a thing, I put my Monster seat cowl on with the SBK seat and liked the look a lot, almost matched up.
Gotta pitcher?

Here's what the monster cowl looks like with the SBK seat, I imagine jv's looks a little different

tell me about the thicker section of pipe on your exhaust.
are you using some kind of expansion or anti-reversion?

AFAIK Raux, they are just stock resonators of the original system, probably off the original SS that the motor came from.  I don't think they do much in the way of sound deadening.  The PO said that two pipe system is loud... like crazy loud... like NASCAR loud.  I like the look and simplicity of the system but I don't think I'll be able to run it.  In the duccuters link from the OP it shows the bike with a 2-1 megaphone system, I didn't get this system from Paul, I may email him to see if he still has it, that is likely the way I want to go, just a 2-1 with a Spark universal megaphone like Rad Duc does often on their builds.

Thanks jv.  I'll keep that tail in mind.  I'm really thinking about the tail right now... Monster style, Rad tail, Sport 1K race tail...
Decisions, decisions.

That is quite the stable you're growing there!  The RS 2V SBK is looking great!  BST's?  I must have missed that!

Oh yes.  BSTs, the teeny-tiny Brembo (Ducati Corse fitment) rear brake and an odd production 748R / 996RS corsa carbon fiber airbox (748R type split, but with 996RS type removable side panels)

That's awesome man!  It's really coming together.
I see we're rocking the same forks.  You got some Mono-blocks yet?

I have not, my list of don't-have's is becoming smaller though, but its some pretty big parts.   Motor, a few Brake Components, Wiring/ECU, and redo exhaust (& potentially subframe)

I've still dreaming big about the finished products weight, so I'm going to get some #'s for comparison for:
* FG Gubellini alu subframe vs. OEM alu subframe vs. Pierobon alu subframe vs. NCR Ti subframe
* Brembo M4 Monoblocks (in black via KTM dealer) vs. ISR billet monoblocks vs. Brembo billets (2-piece & monos)

I'm still going to replace the swingarm with a WSBK/Corse length (+19mm), and I wanted the 955 aluminum one, but I may have missed its sale (didn't have the cash on hand at the time) - there are magnesium ones still out there though (the alu might be slightly heavier, but it also doesn't rot). With that swingarm, I need a properly valved rear shock, and Tom.i has some in his parts collection - I am jonesing for one of the ribbed reservoir models (and must save up to respring it with Ti spring).

Brake-wise, I'm going to wait on rotors until I'm ready to do all three and see if BrakeTech can make some of the carbons for me - the 200mm rear is likely a one-off sort of thing, so that's probably no bueno. If I can't get the rear in that form, I'm going to start hunting around for the name of whoever makes the Ti rear brake discs that Yoyodyne sells, and see if they can cut one that's 200mm for the fancy corsa rear brake.

Speaking of rear end components, NCR makes/made a Ti rear axle-spindle. Yeah, that enormous steel jobby that the wheel & rotor bolts to on one side & sprocket/sprocket-carrier bolts to on the other.  (I've already got a Mag eccentric hub, so I need to be particular about swingarms and go for one that uses the street sized magnesium hub).

Going to revalve the forks with Ohlins innards and get the outer tubes reanodized black - and call them 'done'.

The only other thing I need to fully investigate is where to track down a titanium-pipe fitter. I want to replace the exhaust tubes with Ti - and figure if I need to get the ends fashioned for the 2v heads, perhaps it might be fairly straightforward to get them "done" as a complete set while the works being done rather than just two flanges+elbows.  If you know of anybody who does this, let me know! The only name I had written down eons ago was Doug at ArcFab and it seems that train sailed many years past.

Motor wise, when the particular plan is set in stone and progress is begun, I'm going to sit down and do the math to appropriately/optimally size the to-be-built exhaust systems diameter for the volumetric flow & exhaust valve diameters.

peace of cake, right?

Wow man, that's going to be a hell of a bike!  I like the idea of the black KTM monblocks
