Yes, I have looked into those as well as another (Backes, in Germany - image below), but I am concerned about (a) structural integrity (i'm a large mammal, and would be ordering the parts "sight unseen") and moreover (b) whether it can accomodate the large Corsa underseat crankcase breather box.  I've not seen any examples of it being done, so I'd be relying on the seller's best-guess, since the corsa parts are a bit out of the ordinary.  Conversely, if I stick with the "tried-and-true" (though tried in clearly a very limited quantity) "All Corse/Corsa" inspired build, then I have an idea of how things ought to go together (well, at least some idea).   Its like super-advanced Legos.

Here's the Backes carbon undertail:
Product 940514 - Heckrahmen, Price listed is 759,00  (i assume to be in euro)

(which makes me wonder if a company could build a subframe/crankcase breather box all-in-one...)

I should mention awhile back (some 9-12 months ago) I emailed the Backes contact-email but received no response, perhaps because I wrote in English (and had German below it saying same thing in case english was not useful), and he didn't finish reading my email, or doesn't ship to North America, or had the flu, etc... No telling.

Thanks for sending me the link to this Dustin!

On the tail it came with, I made that in about 5 hours, so go figure.....proportionally great, but executed far-good.  (haha, looks good from far, but up close far from good...)

The Hi/Lo dual pipes I made myself from a mix of multistrada headers and SBK parts, the bulge are SBK stock resonators that go up by the heel plates normally (they have perforated tubing inside as well as a thin layer of packing) and the ends are some leftover multistrada connectors that looked pretty cool so i used them, probably pretty loud, I never heard them tho, just did as a concept.  the megaphones under tail are THE LOUDEST EVER.  Like hear you at every point of the track from the pits loud.

When I built that bike I did it on a very shoestring budget, did most all the work myself except the welding which I got into doing myself only in the later stages.

Hey hey Paul! Thanks for posting up.  I was under the impression that the two pipe system was the loud one, now I remember our conversation that it was the megaphones.  I have the two pipe system mounted now, maybe I'll start in on the wiring and try to fire it up to see what they sound like.

I wasn't trying to badmouth the tail, just letting people know it isn't as polished as it looks in the pics.  It is an awesome looking piece and is still an option for me, maybe try to copy it in fiberglass.

oh i knew you weren't bashing it, haha i always just like to throw in a far-good joke!

but yeah, that thing replicated in fiberglass, or a more finished steel one would be right.

joe (pedro-bot) can attest to the loudness of the dual megs...FCUK!NG LOOOOOOUD.

don't know if you remember the now in-famous arcfab but i just stole their idea on the dual megs...pretty cheap and easy to replicate in their most base form...arc did offer them with optional baffles which i'm would bet sounded even better.

Oh sure, ArcFab (Doug) comes up a lot here.  Not much to mention on the progress lately, hopefully have some time this weekend to start on the wiring   Undecided

Yeah, I'm quite the slacker but I do have a little bit of progress to post.

2V SBK second start

The exhaust is too loud to run on the street, looking at making a new slip on for the 996 style headers I have.  Thinking about a 696/796/1100 seat and cowl, like this bike, I like the idea of throwing another Ducati model into the mix.

Thanks Mike!  It's exciting to finally get it started, hopefully this keeps my motivation up and I can ride it to a Euro Bike Night this summer.
