Just wondering, I haven't gone but my buddies keep telling me to go.  Seems like it would be a squid convention.

I go on occasion... My good friend from high school knows the dudes who set it up. I mostly go to hang with my buddy. Only a few Ducs ever show up, lots of bikes to look at (in all manner of bling and stuntah decoration). Lots and lots of squids, and lots of people testing their rev-limiters  Huh? It's generally pretty well behaved, but the cops love to bust people for equipment violations  Police

Yeah that's what I figured.  Whenever the topic comes up I can't help but picture dudes with Icon chest armor and helmet mohawks in gsxrs riding around.  I might go next week just to check it out.  I did hear that police and chp were really cracking down though.

Used to go about 3 years ago, it was big 300+ bikes and 100+ cars, went with Icon (member here) and for the most part it was lots of fun, chicks were every where flashing their..........stuff.

But it got way too big and bullshit complains started coming in from the local businesses and locals in general, Fatburger made good money tho, can you believe it people complaining from 300+ bikes reving up their engines at night  Evil.......

Cops showed up one night, gave a few tickets and that was the end of it, at that location (Vermont and Hollywood) then it moved to a different location, I don't know where is being held now.

Yes the scene is dominated by japanese bikes, isn't it everywhere you go? Unless you are at a Harley rally.

Later.

Yeah, its pretty squidly so you really have to be careful.  Basically the way it works is they go to a location and act like hooligans until the cops show up and then they move to another location.  Its pretty cool but I've been there and done that.

Regarding bikenight in HWD.

I wouldnt go!!!! Squids have caused trouble and brought down the thunder of the CHP due in part to antics on the fwys after bike night on previous weeks. Bikes have since been impounded, people gone to jail and several citations issued. Just what I heard.

So I've heard.  Apparently there's another bike night in Calabassas off of Valley Circle.  Not sure how anything exciting can come out of that neck of the woods though.

I've been to that one a couple of times, as I know some locals and it's near the shop.

Very low key, just a few bikes, 10-20 or so.

But I haven't been to it since the weather warmed up, so there may be more folks there now.
