You have way more money than sense if you buy a DS over just about every new sport bike.

I just love the sound of the Cedici though.  If only I had the cash.

if you have the cash to buy a d16, then you probably also have the cash to pick up an 1199.

seriously.. are there that many d16 owners who only have the one bike?

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

It was just a trivial look at the two bikes.  If I had the cash, I'd be crawling to the nearest NCR dealer.

i would get a sedici over a 1199 in a hearbeat... i mean, i'll never see the upper limits of either bike so performance is kinda meh at that level for me, but sedici still has that wow factor.

+1 and 20 years from now... D16 will be worth bucks. a first year 1199... not so much

yeah, exactly... and you'll eventually see squids etc rolling around in 1199's etc.  i would be very very shocked seeing one riding a d16.

Depends. I would still buy a 916SP before the D16.

If we're just picking bikes based upon performance specs vs. purchase price, there are probably "better" choices than Ducati.

I thought we were all here based upon a general agreement that raw numbers weren't the most significant factor.
