Tony's an old friend of mine from High School and has done some impossible work on my 748. Great guy, fellow rider (damn good one too btw), and will take care of you. It's a hell of a trek up to Louetta, but you can at least stop off at Rudy's for some BBQ while you're there.
Don't forget to get your tank POR15'ed and get the hinge soldered/reinforced while you're getting the tank painted. It's worth your effort and money.
My other advice would be to not do it until you eventually drop your bike and put a nice fat dent in your tank. Trust me, it'll happen and it'll happen in ways you never thought it would.
