Ok they really won't, in any direct relation at present, as the wholesale order have already been paid for by dealers... but one can dream it worked that way. But if the euro does tank against the green back future prices will reflect that shift. But that would take a while

US bikes are already priced much lower than in Europe and protected against international market leaks with the Conformity / Vin series manufacturer bullshit.
US bikes will probably not be sold cheaper just because the exchange rate changes - they will be priced according to what you guys are willing/able to pay. Sorry, not less $$$ - only more Ducati profit.
That being said - I'm impressed by the fact that Ducati seems to be pricing Panigale similar to the much less sophisticated 1198.

According to Ducatinewstoday.com, US pricing is:
$17,995 standard 1199
$22,995 S
$23,995 S with ABS
$27,995 S Tricolore
England (pricing excludes dealer and statutory charges):
£14,995 standard 1199
£15,750 ABS (note this model won’t be available in the USA)
£19,750 S with ABS
£23,495 S Tricolore
Either way you convert your currency, we in the US get a serious discount!

Norway is not the typical Euro country. We have spirit crushing taxes.
Standard Panigale is expected to retail at ~ $ 52,000.
Of that amount ~ $ 22,000 is luxury/green taxes.
Let's not forget the 25% VAT - calculated 'only' from the import price.
Or another way to illuminate the protectionist manufacturer policy:
If I imported a new US Panigale, it would cost me $ 44,000.
That's 8,000 cheaper than in Norwegian stores.
The choice manufacturers have is to NOT compete in the US market,
or
to protect their home market by sabotaging private import.
So, yes, you get substantially lower import prices

Typically manufacturers buy the money from banks for 6 months and/or a year out prior to announcing any MSRPs. This is safer and eliminates the possibility of loss but also of any exchange profits.

but what's the market share for the US vs other countries.
AND look what happened to Ducati with the higher priced 999
if Ducati tanked the US market because of higher prices, they could forget about the US market being as strong as it is.

If you bring weight into the equation, bikes are not doing well at all.
They could have, but are not designed to.
Our politicians offered to lower green taxes accordingly,
but no bike manufacturers will supply the data needed to prove anything.
If we go by consumption alone, it would make a liter bike about $ 10,000 cheaper here.
Not going to happen until we see EURO 4, 5 or 6 engines.
Modern cars with the latest technology put out cleaner air than they suck in - at least in big cities.
Bikes are primitive compared to that.

Someone will post the Myth Busters segment where they document bikes to be quite bad.
