I know that some of you have shortened your after market exhausts. The stock cans are welded and somewhat difficult to pull apart and reassemble. Are after market cans easier? By just looking at them I would guess that all you have to do is drill out the rivets and then cut to length and reassemble. Is this correct?

Basically yes that's what I have done with the Termis on my bike the only thing I would recommend is the very fine 4" cutting disc and gaffer tape the area that your going to cut for 2 reasons 1 to stop the carbon fiber from splintering and 2 so you can see clearly the line you are going to cut to.

Yep, I just shortened them by 4". Will post pics soon. I will wait for new straps and rivets from SilMoto before I re-assemble. I'm going to make a new hanger, so that the pipes have a better flow with the frame.
