Well looks like Redheads are the new orange. Put a deposit on a 2013 Husky TE310R...used with all of 118 miles on it and at less than half the price of a 350EXC.
It was at my local KTM/Duc dealer all of 17 hours heh

I just found out yesterday that KTM differentiates between their dirt bikes and street bikes when it comes to dealers and, as such, there is no street bike KTM dealer in Hawaii. Dirt bikes yes, on multiple islands, but no street bikes.   Angry   bang head   Angry

How so? Guess I am confused by the comment as there doesn't seem to be anything really negative out there about the "Red Heads"...  Huh?

not sure how much of your own wrenching you do, but those Husky's are a bit high strung and will be pretty maintenence intensive....not quite as intensive at a 'Priller SXV, but as intensive as a Honda Unicam motor with valve checks.  A buddy of mine had a 510 Husky and he was checking valves fairly regularly....

Yup.  Got it from 3Bros Racing out of Temecula.  They loaded it into the back of their truck and took it down to the port in San Diego for me.  Pretty sure Rick knew all about that though, as he heard me going on and on about it.   Grin

That part I knew about.  I also knew that the Oahu dealer did not want to mess around with street bikes and I knew you worked out a good deal, esp. with the Akro cans and all.  I didn't know that KTM doesn't ship street bikes to Hawaii dealers.  I thought that Will, down at Kiser, might be able to get a deal for me & might even sell me the computer/service module interface.  This all might have just been a pipedream.    Roll Eyes

The word is that the Red Head motors improved on that greatly. They are supposed to be a vast improvement over the pre-2012 engines from a maintenance interval standpoint.

That being said, wrenching on it will be mostly DIY short of anything computer related.
