Good Times. That's a great pair. I have a similar pair in my garage - Bonneville T100 and S2R1K. I always picture myself riding an old restored classic when out riding the Bonnie. I think a lot of poeple think the same way and asks me what year it is. They tend to get an confused look (something is not computing) when I tell them its a 2001.
I have the same 'issue' with my Sport 1000 - the first question people ask is "What year is it?" and when I tell them it's a 2007, they look very confused.
The new Bonnie and Thruxton are both nice. I considered a Bonnie before deciding on my 796. I was looking for something to commute to work, and I love the classic look, but since I already had a Sport 1000, I decided to go with something more modern.
I love the new Commando as well!
