maybe an A&M fan will buy it and put it atop the bonfire next year. I'm sure the guy thought it was a good idea at the time - I'm guessing he wasn't a business major otherwise it doesn;t say much about their program.

I think a better tack would be to email him asking if we can bid to have it repainted before selling it. It's just horrible. It's like this: http://www.veryweirdnews.com/tattoo-artist-facing-civil-lawsuit/Except the bike doesn't deserve it.
