I'd like to put a black front fender on my red on red '08 S2r 1000 but I don't want to paint my pristine red fender.
I'm not concerned with an exact replacement, just one that fits.
There's a ton of various Duc fenders on e-bay but which ones will fit Huh?

I know that any fender for Ohlins forks won't work. Or early Monsters. Or Hypers. Or Multi's. A Sport 1000 fender & bracket would be cool but there's no fork protection. I'm sure a lot of SBK fenders would fit but they're really short on the rear end and I'd like better coverage (open belts).

It looks like an ST fender (non "S" model) would give good rear protection and cover the fork legs, too,  but I'm not sure they will fit. Anyone know for sure? Any other options?

Thanks.

848/916-996 will work but non-Ohlins on the superbikes.  I just got a carbon from shift-tech and the gloss finish is perfect.  From what I can see the early Monster fenders will fit.  I have both an 02 and 06 and they are interchangeable.  I can't speak of the carb models though.

Or Super Sports, '01 and newer I think, anyway hollow axle.

I vote SBK fender. Although I personally think they're too long, so I chopped mine shorter and added the holes on the sides too. Off a 996

korey and Raux, don't you get a lot of debris thrown onto the engine? or is it just a non-issue?

korey - Dude, that can looks great! Is that just a shortened Leo Vince?
I just lost an e-bay auction for a $10 996 fender. Watched the clock tick down to 3 seconds and hit enter to submit my bid but forgot you have to confirm your bids. I hit "confirm" but missed it by about 1 second. Darnit!

Nicely done Korey.  I thought I was done with mine but after seeing the blacked out pipes I'm sold

I haven't noticed anything really, to be honest with you. I did however modify the stock belt covers so that they only cover the pulleys, that way I get a little protection and it still looks good. And yeah, it's a Leo Vince slip-on that I cut the can in half. That stinks about the fender, you'll be able to find another one. I got mine for like 10 bucks shipped, but I had to repaint it.

I was talking to my bud about the fender. Turns out he had an 848/whatever SBK fender  in the shed. New and undrilled fiberglass race fender. Payment was in our standard currency - "Ahh, just buy me a beer" (neither one of us drink)  waytogo
