Whee, hi and hello..
Also, crap, i'd just posed a "hi and hello" in ToB/Monster Women forum.
It went precisely like this:

Hi, I'm Kymba, and i'm a recidivist.. i was on the forum in a small way when the Ducati NorCal MOB was.. SFBHMAOMGIDKMyBFFJill?
I deleted BlackWing and rejoined~ Whee!
I'm in the SF Bay Area - East Bay woooo!

I've ridden since i was 16: dad's moped, Yamaha 250 (mine!), Kawasaki EX500 (MINE!), and now an '02 Monster 620 Dark.
I'm 40 and i think my longevity is due to pattern commute riding: ride for four or five years, then i'm off for a year, then i'm on for four or five, then off for a year. I had the EX500 from the roll-off the lot in 1987 until 2003 when the Duc came into the picture.
I've never done track or other competitive riding, just commuting and noodling around, nearly 100% solo. In 2006 the death of a motorcycling friend and resulting bad headspace that kept me off the Duc for an extended time- Never Ride When Crazy. Wakeup call was whacking the mirrors of an SUV with the mickey-mouse mirrors as i split traffic too quickly and thinking, "Hmm, that was close, and if i told the M8 about this he'd probably be rather upset, but *i'm* not upset except this compulsive sort of giggle.. not-good." So i parked it and discovered the joy of reading while on BART.

I'm paying for the parking, or will be next TUESDAY when the Duc goes in to Darren at Desmoto Sport, but i'd rather be paying for a service check than whatever i could have done irresponsibly. more irresponsibly. while acting like a lunatic.
I think i'll really be "back" this time when i ride home from the shop across the Bay Bridge. Right now i'm planning to clean the chain, check my leathers, and STOP thinking of frivolous mods.. though after all this time stock maybe some paint and shine *is* in order..

A red traffic light means:
  • Incoming missiles
  • Stop
  • You win! Speed through the intersection to claim your reward!
