Well 1400 miles later here I sit in Chicago. I have ridden around the city for the last 2 days...and for those of you that might think I am a weather wimp, I have been riding in rain both days. Glad I dont make a habit of riding around the windy city i think  I would tear up a bike in one season.
Looked up my best buddy from high school he has switched from a Bmer adventure bike to what he calls a snowmobile for the street.

More from NYC!

Hey, while you're in NY, head on up to Newburgh and burn my house down there.  I can't sell it, I'm tired of paying for it, and I need the insurance money.   Grin

Yikes!  Better check out the tech forum for some sound advice on the screeching brake.  Is there a Duc shop up in Chitown?  If all else fails, there's always the rear brake.  I use mine all the time, but I seem to be in the minority of folks that do.

I'm going to start posting my own devil with horns picture.  It looks more like me!  Taken at Zozobra last year!   Grin

My bike does the same thing. 07 S4RS
I looked it over and don't see any real problem.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. When I am half holding the brake at slow speeds the front end has also stuttered. Could I have gotten some cleaner on the disk? Anyway in all the rain and the freakin potholes in Chitown I let the bike get pretty funky. I will have to shine it up to drive thru the Lincoln Tunnel into Manhattan. The brake is more annoying than anything. At high speed it works fine so I guess I wont fret till I get home.

Heres a short tail. In the previous photos with my old high school buddy who actually took a turn riding Hunky Punk and is now addicted to the roar of the Arrows, (BTW he calls his red Honda scooter "Fruity Scootie"), I took his kids for a ride...of course one at a time. His son John is 15 and Hugh is 11. The next day after I left town all Hugh could say to his dad was "Can you get a Ducati Dad and drive me to school on it every day?" Hugh held onto me with his fingers clenched together. I was only able to floor the monster thru 3 gears, any faster and Johnnie would have been close behind. In the Chicago they tend to shoot first and ask questions later!
Anyway now I am in Indianapolis for an overnight stay and then off to Baltimore area. More pics to follow I dont really have a computer to use except Kinkos and it takes a bit of time (and money) to use a kinkos computer card.
Like I said soon photos and more adventures to follow....

This is John, the smile on his face says it all....Ducati!!!!

On the way across Ohio, lo and behold on the right side of the highway.....kabang!!!! The Motorcycle Hall of fame!

There were bikes that belonged to Steve McQueen, Arlen Ness, Ed Big Daddy Roth, Michael Jordan the famous basketball motorcycle rider, Tom Gay Cruise, some English guy with many Huskies, just awesome amazing bikes, the Terminator Kawasaki ( thought of you Kawboy) actually was a twin but had 4 exhaust to look like a police cruiser, amazing honda 750 single race bike, honda 250 four cylinder race bike, Ducati 900SS, on and on...

When I get back we can have a Ducati night at Hyper's Home of motorcycle vacation slides plus many slides of the motorcycles at the museum!

Next stop was York county PA and amazing hill country with winding roads, 18th century towns and remote farm roads. I had the Monster on the road for 3 days. Took a great route from Shrewsbury, PA on state rt 216 from there to Gettysburg PA about 100 mile loop with a mystery high school reunion friend who I hadnt seen for 3 decades!

Here are some shots I took while I was actually riding hands free, no Ducatis were hurt in the making of these photos!

Then at the end of the ride I posed for this shot to share with all my NMMR's or High Desert Hooligans because I can!

I have thought about this at great length and I am considering quiting everything and devoting my time to riding my Ducati in York county PA! Every townie came up to me one at a time and was thrilled to talk to the famous New Mexican HunkyPunk!
