Rode it and had a hair dryer pointed at me to contribute to the state coffers!

OOHHHHH fark MV  welcome to the club  vomit hope it was only a minor infringement .

On that  Police subject
I have been told of an operation up here in the once lucky sunny Northern beaches
called get this  In a Jeremy Clarkson accent......... " OPERATION TAIPAN " seriously how can they take themselves
seriously  Roll Eyes

They have been targeting any vehicle with safety performance mods after pulling over for RBT/radar.
They have been up here for a couple of weeks .

Spotted them today opposite Rat park in Warriwood.

Not a club I'm happy to be in.
There are a few technicalities involved in my little intervention, not least being that it was made out to me at an incorrect address.
There is already a letter.

And I wonder if the action on the Northern Beaches has anything to do with the usual night riding crowd who do go up there from time to time and attracted complaints from locals.

A quick google operation Tiapan has been in action for some. Angry

Dunno but last Thursday night going home @11pm there were about 4  cop cars on pittwater rd at Monavale with about 5 bikes or more stopped. didn't appear to be the night ride crowd as they number in the double figures. Huh?

Plus during the weekend you get car club runs to Palmy and they did have an rta inspection set up there not long ago targeting car enthusiast (rice burners hoons etc) Huh?

I wonder what the road to PI will hold for us on Sunday?? I expect wall to wall speed traps and "random" inspections. I might put the Termi plugs back in just for Sunday *sigh*

I was more worried about the proverbial "shooting fish in a barrel" roadworthy checks. The camera cars stand out like dogs nuts so no issue there. It's the dreaded fluoro vest and pointed finger I fear. They don't want to say Hi and will be on a mission to prove how "bad" the rider community are by pumping up the potential for their significant stats in one day.

The Cops certainly seem to be out in force lately , I went past 2 mobile radars on the side of the road and then a moving Highway patrol car with radar on the way home from Norton St. last night. (A bit of a detour out to Cronulla) Lucky I was tired , so well and truley cruising.

As well as being stopped for a random breath test earlier in the day in the work van which is a first.

The last two times I've been through the National Park , I have seen no less than 2 radar cars in there each time.

This is really becoming a joke, seems the only thing anyone can ride is a stock ZZR250.
Are we really all that bad?
So Des did you guys booked for anything? Or was it just "hello rider" can I check your vital signs and see what I can pick on you for and send you to the checking station?

Seems unless we all get together to have our bit to say to the good fellows of the law motorcycles will be a target until they are satisfied with whatever result they are working toward.

Everyone be careful coming down to PI this weekend in Victoristan.

I stayed home and played with chemicals, so as to avoid fines.
