Well after doing the steering head bearings on Teffs MV yesterday,I decided to give the steering bearings a birthday on precious and strip  down, clean, re grease and adjust.
Next time order a new set of bearings and dust seals Tongue
And then went for a trail ride as the weather was spectacular today. Dolph

Not exactly today, but today was the first day I had a chance to take some shots....

Chopped my tail, shortened my new low mount termi's by an inch, cut a section out of them, and put em on...

Finally got to take it for a test ride, and sounds amazing. Very happy with the change from hi to low....

Now just to get some weather where i can ride the thing  Wink

Started it, let it idle for a while, turned it off.

After it cooled down, I put the bike cover back on!

I took her out for a ride to uni today. unfortunately i was caught out in the rain on the way home

I was wondering if anyone can shed any light on this. When i was at the lights in the rain (cringing like a retard) the bike dropped its revs and if i didnt give any gas she'd stall.

I dont ever plan to ride in the rain. ive only been caught out there twice in the 3 yrs ive had it. but why does it do that? When i got home i dried it off with a chamois all over including under the tank. WHen i was done i started her up and she was fine.

what do other riders do after they're caught in the rain?
should i take the air filter out and dry it off with the compressor or am i going over board?

i hate rain
cheers

She is Italian therefore temperamental. My guess is she doesn't like getting wet. Sounds like she loves to be towelled off. At least you know how to get on her good side now   Wink

Unless it was an absolute downpour, and you're riding with an open airbox, I'd guess the problem is electrical.  Go over all your wiring, give it a clean, and make sure there are no loose connections.

I spent an hour on the paint with some Maguier's professional products to make it look wet. The bike was low mileage when I got it but the paint was a little rough. The previous owner didn't use a tank protector so that took a bit of doing. I used M205 and then M105 followed by some high grade carnauba wax.

G'day cicii

Totally agree, I don't know why I didn't do it sooner... Just the sound alone made it worth while, and it looks like a proper monster now  Wink
