Injectors arrived. Now to catch up with the bro to fit them!

Stay tuned, pun intended! LOL!

Does my bum look big on this?

I've now done everything possible to cool down my 695.

First I bought a fatduc. It helped a little, but it was still running bloody hot.

Then I got young Brad to program my ecu with the DP map. This helped quite a bit, and improved rideability considerably.

Finally tonight I fitted an oil cooler, composed of bits bought off ebay from S2R 800s and 1000s. I reckon that's knocked 20 degrees off the running temp. Just in time for a lovely balmy Gero summer.

And a picture, because reason.

I so love that people looking at my monster on the street have no make the beast with two backsing idea what model it is any more.

Seriously though, adding an oil cooler was really incredibly easy - like twenty minutes work. Highly recommended for any of the girl's monsters.

Replaced the fuel injectors.

Job is only half done at the moment, I need to get back into the shed to put the airbox, ecu, battery etc back on/together.

Just having a break. I hope the throttle body snorkels go on okay, as they look as though they could be a pain.

I'll see soon enough! LOL!

Cheers,

Airbox and such all back on.

Fired up first go and settled into a good idle. So far so good!

I'll go for a quick spin tomorrow if I get time and see how it goes.

Just chasing down a few persistant and annoying problems suzyj. The bike has done 50,000 km's, so I thought new injectors would also be a nice gift.  chug

The ride was great from 3,000 rpm onwards, but still rough under that. Also, the bike hung at 2,000 rpm, but that was partly my fault, for simply turning the air fuel screws out further, as is the often suggested position in manuals and on the forum.

I've set it back to 3/4 of a turn out each side and will try again when I can.

Keep you posted.

The good brother came over for my birthday today and checked the TB sync (which was good) and rejigged the air bleeds a bit.

Result was good.

Happy Birthday to me!

Just bought a Power Commander 3 USB for $100. Should be here by the end of next week.

Thanks heaps for the heads up Twisted!

It was amazing, as the bro and I were just saying today (& doing some Internet research) on the one I needed, and then Twisted gives me a heads up on one he spotted for my model!

Awesome present for my birthday today! Stoked!

Cheers,

PC3 arrived today.  waytogo Thanks again Twizted!

I've loaded one map, and will have a go at installing the unit on the bike later tonight.

I've got to position the unit carefully, as the K&N crankcase breather kit vents to where the PC3 is usually located. I'll see how I go.

I'll keep you posted.
