Horrible to hear about the carnage AGAIN up the old road .
The flow on effect caught me out up there yesterday  Roll Eyes mobile speed camera parked in the demolished servo past the interchange
after the Brooky bridge.
Lesson learned don't ride when your mind is wandering and not 100% focused on what your doing.
I was not going fast 3rd gear coasting along 70 ish looking at the white ford territory thinking that looks suspicious  Huh? FLASH  bang head
Its got to the point that its not worth the ride up there , too many boy racers coming unstuck . I have had way too many scary moments
from other riders coming at me at stupid speeds on or over the divided line.
And riding at 60 k is near on impossible and not enjoyable on a twisty rural road.
No wonder the cops are all over it , they must be so tired of picking up the pieces and having to knock on the door of the wife/family too
tell them someone is not coming home tonight. boo

Bad luck Dez, frustrating to get booked at such a low speed.

Hey, maybe time you guys started heading south for the dayrides !   Smiley     Oh wait, workmate from shellharbour mentioned that Mac Pass was closed for some time on Sunday after a car/bike head on.  Sad

Hope your well , where is my smoked trout ? I have been waiting for the package . laughingdp
General consensus from the DMF stooges  is that all they would of got from me was a selfie. cheeky
The camera as far as I understand only points back through the rear window so hope they
enjoy the look of horror on my face then the one finger salute.
I really really hope that is the case .

Maybe if I ..... a little  Grin

Some riders binning it down south too... Hope they're alright.

Would suggest increased activity on all of our local rides.

I think this is the case. I'm pretty sure I got flashed a few months ago, though it might have been a brief flash of reflected sunlight.  I was heading in the same direction as the camera van was pointing and therefore came at it from behind so wouldn't have had a plate pointing in his direction.  I don't think I would have been much over the limit as I have just tested my speedo against GPS and found it horribly overestimates my speed!  In any case, no fine has come through.  I hope you are as lucky.

Interesting that the article states police are 'investigating the cause of the accident'. Doesn't stop them from also stating that the motorcyclist collided with the car and that ... in light of recent accidents on the roads involving motor bikes, police said road users needed to be wary of bikes on the roads, and riders need to obey road rules.

Stiff shit if the car driver was the one in the wrong ... broke the road rules and collided with the bike.

Of course I don't know what happened, but ... c'mon ... you either know what happened or you don't.

Well I didn't get away with it  boo
Just a got the dreaded letter in the mail .
It seems that the boffins who designed the new mobile speed camera have designed a nifty little function.
The camera when detected its law breaking target eg ME  bang head pans from back too front getting a lovely set of
images as you ride by finito with number plate showing. vomit vomit
At least my monster looks good in them  laughingdp
Farkkkkk only a few more months and I had all my points back ...........from the nearby group DMF incident that wont be mentioned  Cry

Installed this:

It's the dreaded School Holidays and I'm child minding so haven't tested it properly yet.  At idle, the 'optimistic' 14kph is down to 11kph.

Writeup coming in the Tutorials section.

And another one, nothing that exciting.

Before:

After:

I also took the opportunity to replace all the silly little spacers, that had gone missing prior to my buying the bike.  I nearly went with titanium bolts but didn't like the shape of the heads and honestly didn't think the weight difference justified the price difference!  These are aluminium.
