Went into the store today and can confirm that the 15cm chrome ducati sticker is the same size and spacing as the old style monster tank badge but the new style monster has the same size letters but the spacing is alittle closer, if you look at the Diavel tank badge you'll see that its the same size as the sticker but a slightly different surface finish.

as in a 2000 model?  are the latters individual or joined?  how thick are the letters (as in stand off the tank)?

i got some 981546020 in, and they're different.  letter aren't as thick, don't appear to be as shiny (haven't opened the bag) and they don't have nice rounded edges.  worth a try though.

I had some stickers made by a signwriting company that had a machine for cutting vinyl lettering. Can't recall seeing shiny chrome but a wide range of colours were available, and several thicknesses. I just took in a magazine pic with what I wanted and it was scanned and bingo. You pay per sheet, about a metre square, and you can squash in as many letters and shapes as will fit.

Otherwise model hobby shops have a really good paint selection - paint the letters you have.

I've had several stripe kits made by Rod at Cutgrafix (http://cutgrafix.com/) and his work is pretty much  applause.  Comes from Aus but well worth the wait.  If you want, PM me and I'll send you his contact details.  If the color scheme you want isn't listed on his site, he can still make it he might be able to make you decals thicker than stock so they are raised a bit.
Just received a carbon fiber S4R race kit and he made a gunmetal stripe kit for me not too long ago.
