Makes me want to go to a junkyard, pick up an engine and make a coffee table out of it.  Thinking of using the seats I may take out of my car as living room furniture

Very cool!  I have an extra Sport 1000 tank sitting on a blanket box, and some Monster tank panels on the wall.  Smiley

I have a damaged m900 engine I've been thinking of doing the same thing with.

I would put an electric motor on the valve train just to have the Desmo valves work.

It almost looks like the new 1199 motor...are my eyes failing me or do I see chains rather than belts?

I saw that too. Was wondering what engine that was.

The lack of belt covers caught my eye too.  Looks like the new superquadro engine...

I didn't even notice that at first but definitely looks like the new Superquadro. I've been going back and forth with Ducati's official Superquadro pictures and it looks very very similar, with a few differences.

So now the question is, who out there has access already to turn an engine not yet available to the public into furniture for his/her own home??

When I permanently retire my Harley, I'm going to build a glass encased bar and have the bike inside it. I've already thought of how I want to mount the bike inside of it, the addition of some pictures of my cross-country trips with the bike, and some of the miscellaneous parts I have for the bike I want to add in the bar with the addition of some fluorescent and neon lighting for effect. If I don't rebuild the top end on it in the next few months, it'll sit in the corner of the house until my next house, which will be large enough to have the bar in it. I'm debating if I want to wash the bike or leave it grungy when it becomes the bar. I'm leaning toward leaving it filthy - just as it usually is.
