And these would be awsome lamps to use in the room with the tables.
The wife liked the idea and wants a set for the bedroom

dam, I should have never clicked on this link.
I now must have a lamp and table. SHIT.
so, in the spirit of spending needless money, does someone have a link with UN-rebuildable engines or frames that I can snag for cheap?

When I went to Barber this year for the vintage festival they have an office just off the research library.
In there they have the coolest table I've ever seen.
It's a glass topped table sitting on top of 5 Harley engines, 1 of each "vintage."
4 around the outer ring and one in the center.
While I'm not a HD guy, it was super cool and massivly built.
I would put one in the house in a minute!
I took a picture of it when I was there, when I get home I'll see if I can find it and post it up.

More of a closet really.
Those lamps are awesome. I just got a bunch of old rotors, gears and springs to make some lamps too. pretty easy.
Wooo!
I will post up the new engine table in the next couple of weeks.

Looking at all the tables and lamps posted, I might attempt to create a table lamp out of a spare Monster reflector I have lying around. Let's see how I would go around accomplishing that.

I've got two untitled Ducati Paso 750 frames sitting out in the yard, but.....I don't think they'd look anywhere near as good as a Monster frame as a table.

I didn't even notice that at first but definitely looks like the new Superquadro. I've been going back and forth with Ducati's official Superquadro pictures and it looks very very similar, with a few differences.
So now the question is, who out there has access already to turn an engine not yet available to the public into furniture for his/her own home??
He has a D16 as well, and a letter from Borgo on his desk. I have a feeling he's either a dealer or so damn rich he can just buy everyone at Bologna lunch when he flies his personal jet there.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

If you live in Ohio and can arrange a pick-up vs. needing to have it shipped, here's a Monster frame ($29.95) that would be a good excuse to be converted into a table...

Ha, a year later...just finished a new piece for the cave. It started out as two wrecked multistrada frames and two old ducati 160's...
Measure (twice), cut, grind, sand blast, weld, degrease, glass media blast, polish, powder coat....repeat until complete.
Next up is an awesome lamp for it made out of some remaining gears and the headlight and speedos from the 160!
