OK,

Will be heading out for a track day at Jennings GP here in Florida.

Have done a half dozen on my BMW Boxer Cup Rep, FYI.

2007 S2R  any suggestions on initial susp. settings..?.....200# fellow.

Tire pressures?

What to look for in handling and how to adjust??

Any input is appreciated.

pressure for what tires?

i'd get a pro to set up the suspension for you.  many track days have on-site guys who'll do this.

woah, wait a second... you can't give recommendations like that when you don't know the brand, model, or compound of the tire.  that is dangerous.

Well its what I ran on my S2R last track day and worked great.  Its not a bad starting point.  Those pressures aren't going to kill you whatever you're on for gosh sake.   Smiley   fwiw I run 2CT's

well, the rear tire i run is supposed to be at 21 max cold.. so yeah, 28 might kill me.  or maim me.

last weekend i overheard the michelin rep telling someone to run his powers at 37.. again, big difference.

point being, the right info for whatever tire he has isn't hard to come by.  and a couple pounds can make dramatic differences.  better just to get the right info than ballpark it when it comes to tires.

Regarding tyres, recently I do this.

Run them at a few PSI less than recomended for the road. After the session measure the PSI when they are still hot. If they are way over the road recomendations then remove some more PSI.

I assume best performace is around recomended pressure when hot or say 10% above. Don't remove too much air becuase then they may overheat.

It also depends on ambient temp and also the track and riding style.

Any one else got any ideas?
