Aussies rescue us all from helmet hair

Saw this product today while browsing through gizmodo. I'm not sure if it will work well at all or if it'll be dangerous to have if you crash and hit your head. It just intrigued me because I go everywhere on my bike and halfway through the day, I give up trying to fix my hair.
