I had my gallbladder removed last Monday (22nd). Planned on very short notice (consult on Friday, surgery on Monday). Laparoscopic surgery, so the recovery time is a lot shorter than with normal abdominal surgery. So yeah... between Thanksgiving dinner and the groovy pain meds, I was pretty much in a stupor all week. Wife says I'm funny when I'm on Percocet.
Trying to (carefully) get back to work this week, but I'm still kinda sore and tired. At least I got no more pain from gallstones.

Heal well and quickly. I had my appendix removed laproscopically a few years ago. After a week I was feeling pretty good, not 100% but I could get around, back to work, even hauled a Christmas tree up the stairs to the front door. You should be feeling better soon.
On another note, first time I've ridden to work in weeks with all the cold/rain/ice. Man it feels good. I'm not looking forward to this long, cold winter they're predicting.

Yeah, things seem to be knitting up nicely. I'm back to most normal activities, have been for around a week now. Still gotta be a little careful because if I use my abdominal muscles too much the internal stitches remind me (painfully) of their presence. But otherwise, back to a fairly normal routine.
Thanks for the well-wishes.
Speaking of riding, I'm having some
bad
Ducati withdrawls. :'( Seriously need to get another bike next spring. What I'd love to do is buy myself an adventure-touring machine for my normal riding, then convince my brothers we need to trade up the CBR600RR for a cheap Ducati trackbike (salvage title, track-only, etc). Something like this one:
http://portland.craigslist.org/nco/mcy/2108213381.html
For a track toy, I really don't care about the salvage title and the fact it's a 748 with a 996 mill stuffed in. It's a cheap Ducati, and one that sounds like fun.

Where has everybody gone? We drinking anywhere anytime soon?
Get well soon Dan... I am mending from my knee surgery but have started some easy running on it already. Did 3 miles yesterday. Hopefully we are all fit and in shape for some good riding weather in the spring.

We Plan on driving up the day before the Seattle Supercross and staying in downtown Portland on April 15th I think that's Friday night. We are looking to find some good brews and eats.

Fortunately the weather has been better and I've gotten better gear so I've been riding to work about half the time in the last couple of weeks.
Glad to hear you're mending well Dan. Hey, with all that land why not just get a couple of dirt bikes? Or a Ural 2WD?

So... I had this weird dream last night.... I was having an out of body experience, and I was like dead or unconcious on the ground with people surrounding me, trying to revive me... and the spirit (out of body) me, was going around looking up the skirts of all the women who were standing around....
I think I have to stop going to so many strip clubs with Do & Chuck.
