Finally got around to taking the Yoshimura off the SV650 and putting the stock muffler on. It went from earth shakingly loud to completely sedate. I wish it had a little more growl, but the RS-3 that was on there was some race only version they don't even make any more. It has a larger diameter core and no mount points for an added baffle. It set off car alarms all over the place. It was grand for the year it was on but I'm glad to be a bit more civilized now. I'm sure my neighbors are glad too. Feels just as fast as before, maybe even more so since there's no growl to warn you. It just quietly hums along while the tach swings right over.
