He's safer on the road than in the UPS depot.

The funny thing is tha the worst part of my day is the first 15 minutes in the morning, once I leave the building, things get better.
Went for a ride today. The weather was cool & cloudy, but no rain. The time of year you have seize the moment when the weather cooperates.

Not surprising to me at all.
From everything anyone that's ever worked there has said...
Working for UPS is only fun once you retire.

Why so bad? Loads of pressure to deliver quickly?

Close to a 60 hour work week. Due to DOT hours of service rules, I can work up to 14 hours in a day with a 10 hour off duty time up to 60 hours in a 7 day period. The job gets to be tiring after 11 to 12 hours. Although we get driver's helpers, we are averaging over twice the usual volume in deliveries. It makes for a long day.

1 Monday down, 3 to go. My helper didn't show up, just texted "I can't make it today." I replied "That's too bad for you."
