1st day back from vacation, interesting day at work today.


This was the view looking north from Mountainside High School. This is right near the southern edge of my route.
 

 
This was the view looking south. I deliver to those houses across the road you can see on the other side of the tennis courts.
 
The wind was out of the east, but as the day went on the smoke cloud loomed overhead, the last half of my day was in this weird orange twilight.

I have a customer on my route, Ralph. He is a retired high school shop teacher, and he has a big shop on his property. It has that old shop smell of motor oil, dust & grease. He has been restoring a Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. I've delivered the seats,dash, some suspension parts and other bits to him. Here it is:
