I read that as

" I have a new helmet, I have new boot, I have nothing else on"

and now I'm digging out my minds eye with a straw

I needs me a new helmet now....  During the IP class, the wind kicked up so hard in Albany that I hear a gasp, turn, and my helmet is doing it's best Mary Lou Retton impression across the range (wind picked it up and it was literally catching 3 ft of air on the bounces and only stopped because it hit one of the other IP instructors-to-be)...  I guess I said mournfully, "That's mine.........."  as it was bouncing...  It's all knarled up now... Sad  $349 to replace (Shoei RF1K)....

So, how is everyone?

Oh, and mmm... ( . )( . )

If you need a used helmet for a while, I have my extra RF1000. Its been a little abused but its still good.

If the job is in Oregon, you still pay Oregon income tax.  Unless you buy a house, no tax advantage, unless it's a WA based company and they can pay you out of the WA "office."

I am not a paid actor.
Please consult your tax professional.

Job is in WA... Bingen, specifically.  waytogo  I'd be looking to move across the riviera, since they have no income tax in WA.  Property seems to be cheaper up there when compared to Hood River, too.  Granted, it still isn't "cheap," it's just not as exorbitant as HR.  Property taxes seem to be comparable on either side of the river.

Found some great prices in North Bonneville (5-6 miles west of Stevenson, about 30 miles west of Bingen).  Also found a great looking place on a quarter acre in Stevenson, with a VERY appealing 2-car garage+shop.  $225,000... unfortunately, that's may be a little north of my budget.  Will probably need to keep the total bill (mortgage+tax+ins) to under $1300/mo.  We'll see what happens after we negotiate salary.  My student loans suck up ~$900/mo, so I'm kinda limited there.  Once those are gone in another 8 years, I'll be sitting pretty.  Should be a Sr. Engineer in a few years, as well, which is good money.

Is the job in WA?

Hey, if you do move out that way, you'll have no excuse for not going on a Cougar Run. [moto]

Oh definitely!  Dude, if I were to rent/buy someplace in White Salmon, y'all would have to come out for a ride & BBQ.  It's 20-odd miles out SR-14 past Stevenson.  And I'd definitely be making the Cougar Run!  Actually, if I can land a house in Stevenson or North Bonneville, we might have a new official meeting place for the Cougar Run.  waytogo

Hope it all comes through Dan.

Scott

Thanks!  Looks like it is.  I'll get y'all up to speed once we've negotiated and I've accepted an offer.   Wink

Rode to work this morning... it was awesome... cold... but awesome. Now I keep looking out the window and staring at my bike... wishing I was out there riding.

I didn't ride in for that very reason.  I knew if Lili was here I'd be going "home" around 11 and I REALLY need to get a bunch of stuff done.

Gotta check out my new helmet before Sunday!  Wearing the right size is a lot tighter than I thought it would be.  Angry

Yah, I just sat down to log in and was like "Why's there a tail light on my desk?"

Glad to know she communicates . . .

Thanks.

Didja check out my boots?  With your grassy knoll tendencies you might want to cosider them  Tongue

Wahtchoo think about meeting at Shari's tomorrow instead.  I'm thinking I'd like a "real" breakfast vs. tea and a biscuit.
