I don't like trust fund kiddos either... but this snippet was great:
Quote
Motorcycling is full of bravado and posing and the nearness of death. You pretend to be calmly, even coldly focused, when you ride, eyes everywhere, eyes on the job and immune to thoughts about risk. That is how one describes riding these fast motorcycles, except of course there is in addition the pleasure. You are riding beauty and you are riding speed and you are riding death. And it is a pleasure. But you offer yourself as a dashing devotee. You realize you are performing the role of yourself, and may be maimed out of existence as part of the act, as part of the character you are playing.

As I was putting my new registration sticker on the Monster today, I thought "Why not take it for a little spin?" Thus I took the Monster off the stands and out on the road & down to MotoCorsa. [moto] A little chilly, but it was nice to get out on two wheels today.

I am unable to locate pork flavored Top Ramen noodles. Those were my favorite. What happened to them. I've been looking for a few years now. Getting tired of the Oriental flav.
HELP!

Picante beef. Not Asian at all but very tasty. The only sad part is now my wife likes them too so I have to buy twice as many.

I hadn't had Ramen noodles since I was little. I've been re-introduced by United Airlines on the way to China. There nice in the afternoon.
They have them like tea in the afternoon in Hong Kong.

So here's a daily dose of randomness...
I was at work, and we needed to define "common hand tools" for servicing our aircraft in the field (bear in mind, it's an overgrown and automated RC airplane with an expensive camera on the nose). I took a swag at defining a field toolkit... when people started asking about specific items, it dawned on me that I had been thinking about the tools I use on the Duc.
I'm suffering from some serious withdrawls... really need to go for a ride. Then I look out the window and see the snow in the hills. *sigh* When is winter over?

Crikeys... I forgot how out of shape I am... kick starting a cb550-four is a pain in the hip... then add the 10 minutes I tried to kick it over with the fuel lines turned off... and I need to hit the gym a tad more....

Wait... you have a CB550-four to kick, but you need a gym? Doesn't kicking that bike qualify as both strength training AND cardio? Guaranteed results in just 20 minutes a day, 3 times a week...

It's only a 1976 bike... so it is as old as me... and we both need the gym.

Less if you keep forgetting to turn on the fuel.

Of course... you will only have one strong leg this way... and if you slip... the foot peg hits you in the shin... time to learn how to fix the electrical!!
