At 10 am on a workday? You go Dan. I wish... sorry, I was really unclear on that... I meant that's what I have in the fridge, and have been enjoying with dinner the past couple nights.

The 10 day forecast looks like 60's and sunny all down the coast for when I'm travelling. No mesh jacket required I suppose but at least I won't be sweating the whole way down.
Scott
Ride down was colder than expected but very nice. Should have taken warmer gear. Ride back was warmer until the last two hours or so when it rained. Should have taken rain gear. Brrrr! Scott

Not bad. Had to slow to under 65 on some inclines but otherwise fine. Since so many people use them in the high mountains in India the fuel injection system is designed and tested to 18,000 feet or something ridiculous like that. Trucked along down 101/1 at 50-65 for the whole trip. Had no problems climbing hills in SF.
Never made it to In-n-Out burger. I never do, always get sucked into family bullshit. At least we got some good dim sum Sunday morning with friends.
I'd like to do the Cougar run sometime soon but that's a lot of time away from the family and the little squirt is keeping us busy lately. Maybe soon.

Looks like a great ride! [moto] I've driven the Cali coast a number of times... though I've only done ~50 miles of the PCH north of San Fran. Flogged the '86 GTI senseless...but IIRC we took like 3 hours to drive that 50 miles. The time constraints meant Dad and I had to head back over to 101 around Santa Rosa. We weren't driving slow, either... I was getting the brakes hot and making the tires squeal around almost every bend. The PCH south of San Fran is more pleasant, yet still fun. I've driven that all the way between San Fran and LA several times... once going south, and 3 times going north. So anyway... did you meet the owner of the Monster in pic 5? That Enfield looks cool. Great bike for those road trip pics.

I kinda like the northern section with all the cliffs, very scenic. All those tight turns to cut in from the coast around the ravines is what slows you down. It's all nice though except the section of industrial LA. Still, great Mexican food around there.
Didn't meet the owner. I just pulled in, snapped the pic, and was off again.

Yea you should bring warm stuff. 60's with the moist ocean air, plus 60 MPH winds means cold.

I guess I should have let you know sooner but didn't see your post... Oh well, you lived. That section of road at Legget was like my own personal racetrack till I moved up here.

Yeah, I had a lack of luggage space and an optimistic attitude which allowed me to leave my rain shell at home. That would have kept me warm on the way down and dry on the way back. No matter, it was fun regardless.
