I saw that this morning. Had to do a double take to see if it was some sort of joke.

I wasn't aware the UAE even had a superbike championship. Learn something new every day, eh?

Interesting that he's signing with an existing team. With bin Laden money he could of just run his own totally un-sponsored team if he'd wanted.

It's the Saudi Falcom team. Most likely they are already a sponsor.

Man, why couldn't he ride a Yamaha instead. That would be sucky to have to carry around a name with so much stigma. It's the same with all the people out there who's last name is Hitler.

how many people are there on the earth with the surname of hitler? not many since it was a mangled one- or two-generation spelling of the more common "hiedler"...

bin laden isn't a very common surname, but the rest of the family isn't so bad... why let the black sheep ruin it for everybody?

This.

It's probably not too bad "back home," but I'm sure it's not great times going places where the only reason anybody knows who you are is because of "crazy uncle Osama."

I'm happy to let the guy race, and wish him all the best.

and you're certain of this because..
he isn't...

but it's at least 50/50...

and there very few people in the world as make the beast with two backsed as Osama...

which ups the odds.

I'm bettin' on derby.

this does not give anyone the right to discuss politics, or the Saudi family...or any US intervention.

It's just my impression of derby's interpretation.
